You can make a brute, it is very fast and easy and then you could verse mine! But be warned my brute isnt very good.

Also if you wouldnt mind, you could help me out by going here. [link] then just make a random brute and verse me! I would greatly apprecaite it and will do the same back if you leave a link. Thanks!

fair enough, then i start from something simple.

I know that DA has many good tutorials but is there any you suggest/ prefer ?

Also when you make something , do you use reference and how heavily you rely on them ?

I am of course open to any advice as I just started doing 2d.

As for tutorials, what kind of art are you into?

Whenever I make something it is usually always inspired by some other work I have seen around on DA. That is the best kind of inspiration. Just look around in the galleries at the kind of art you are into and get inspired. :thumbsup:

Well I , like you, am a sucker for Sci fi ...

I love mette painting (painting environment) but also characters . So I would say a general style. I am also into fantasy.

Inspiration-wise , I do not need any, I have many projects in my head at the moment and very vivid imagination.

The only issues is that I am clueless at how should I paint. That is why I asked you if you use reference to understand color variation , shading etc.

At the moment I am deep into several tutorials, and I know that is all, practise... practise... practice...

And I know that I just started yesterday so it may take several years before I reach a satisfying level of skill.

The only reason why I asked your advice is because I wanted some direction or some golden rules, that will push me to the right direction. Small things that can save me time. That's all.
